Gosund smart plug blinking blue11/30/2023 This issue is frequently reported by Gosund smart plug users, and it often occurs after a power outage. ![]() Set up was counterintuitive to the directions, but I got them set up on the WYZE app and ALEXA. The long story: I have 2 of the original WYZE Plugs, not the newer blue tooth version. If the LED light on your Gosund Smart Plug is red or blinking red, but the plug is not working or appears disconnected in the app on your smartphone, you will need to reset the plug. The short story: If your WYZE devices (original smart plugs) stop working or go offline, try rebooting your router. In that case, you first need to get it to the pairing mode by pressing and holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds until the blue light starts blinking rapidly. If the LED indicator has still red color, then it means it is receiving power from the socket, but not in pairing mode. When your Gosund smart plug is successfully connected to your smartphone and Wi-Fi, the blinking blue color will change to red color which will be still (not blinking). ![]() Then, the blue indicator light will blink. Sometimes, the blue color on Gosund smart plug LED indicator might look like a ‘ Purple‘ however, it means the same. The smart plug will blink slowly for AP mode and fastly blinking for Easy mode. ![]() Though most home Wi-Fi are 2.4 GHz, it is good to check your router and confirm that before proceeding with configuring your smart plug. Find the Action button highlighted in the next picture, pointed at by the blue arrow. Note that Gosund Smart Plug only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel only. Press and Hold the Action Button to Continue with Gosund Smart Plug Reset.
